A friend of mine asked me a very interesting question.For THE MLB PLAYOFFS, is primarily a game baseball business, task, or love? cannot select them all, just one, what is?

This is a very difficult question, given that none of us here has ever been involved with professional baseball. We would all like to think of players play a love of the game, but anyone who honestly say they think that every player wants to be playing baseball?

It is likely that 95% of the players like to play a game of baseball, and perhaps less., I am certainly no expert in this area. Still, love is a strong word. To say that they play more love, more money, thus experiencing daily living is a big thing to say.

People like Scott Boras insists is a business. People go to work to make money, and if they like their work, just extra bonus.I don't agree with this at all, but more of a reason why players come out in every game? Love of the game or to make money?

What about the baseball work is in progress. This is not specifically about the players, and people like Brian Cashman probably no hits home run, or even to hit the ball out of the infield.(Just a guess.)For him, he did not love the game, it is for the business aspect.Money trading players, making his team is the best position to win is not only business, but also to work for him.

Any time you wonder how the Cubs could have been swept out of the playoffs two years in a row, or say, "The Cubs need to build a World Series winner, think about what's happened to the Minnesota Twins.

Over the last ten seasons, the Twins ' regular-season record is 888-733--that's an average of almost 89 wins a season for an entire decade. They've had only one losing season since 2001, and that wasn ' t too far below .500 at 79-80 (in 2007). They have qualified for the playoffs six times ... and pretty much stunk it out.Since winning their division series against the Athletics in 2002, they have lost six consecutive postseason series and now 12 straight postseason games; Their overall postseason record in those same ten seasons is 6-21.

And yet, the Twins are universally praised around baseball for "doing it the right way", teaching their players the same system at all levels of their organization, producing outstanding players from their farm system (Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer, Denard Span, Jason Kubel, and that's just in the last few years), and having one of the best-regarded managers in the game in Susan Gardenhire. This year, they used a 45 18 run from July 11 to September 20 to blow away their competition in the AL Central.

So what's the problem? Why can't they win playoff games or series? The Twins had leads in each of the first two games of their just-completed series, but really, after the Yankees took the lead in the sixth inning of the first game, the Twins looked like they weren ' t even there.

Part of the answer, of course, is that the Yankees are really, really good, and they may just have the Twins spooked a little--having now won't nine straight playoff games against them. But now, the Twins have lost 12 straight playoff games-one short of the record held by the Red Sox--and since a lot of the same players have been involved in most of these games, I'd think it does get into their heads.

WHEN the Cubs return to the postseason, the team that gets there will have very few (if any) players left from the 2007-2008 debacles and a different manager. Just win ONE game--preferably the first--and I believe that will make a huge difference.

  I had my first whole planned exit.  I wanted to start the day around 1 by watching their sweep of Red Phillies complete when checking in just about Texans dismantling of giants.Then, he would be downtime, I relaxed and maybe even get some work done as the Titans, the Cowboys in the background. Finally, at night, and I had to forward to Kevin Kolb good start this season, first as Eagles blew out the Niners. 

And yet, when I woke up, the fact that the TBS and THE MLB PLAYOFFS going completely undermine these programs well-laid by placing the Phillies game against the Eagles game.  I knew they were going to give almost ???????? Philly fans ol ' screwgy.  I knew it. And then I was looking for. ..  Screwgy approved.Phillies-red, established first in 8: 15.(Hands) thanks for TBS MLB PLAYOFFS-bang up job as always some Setup TV 2. going strong tonight, but the game gets TV 50 "and get the other 37 incher. If you are a fan Phillies, eagles, who to choose?
